The Show Championship was awarded to a stylish ewe lamb from the renowned Ballytaggart Flock belonging to Thomas Wright Ballymoney. Bidding was keen for this champion and she was eventually knocked down to Andrew Morton, Larne for 500gns. The first prize ran lamb was later sold for 500gns going to Rocci Jones and Rowland Davis, Wales. The highest price of the evening was 600gns paid by Steven McGookin, a butcher from Ballyclare, for Amy's second prize winning ram lamb.

The showing classes were generously sponsered by the Northern Bank, and thanks to Mr. John Henning head of Agribusiness for coming along to present the rosettes. Judging was in the capable hands of Miss Ruth Jones, head shepherdess of Huish Flock, Galmpton, Devon. Ruth has a wealth of experience in working with Dorset sheep as she has been working with David Rossiter, one of the top English breeders for 13 years. She has been extremely busy recently, having lambed 400ewes in the last four weeks, so this was a day off!
